The MARIONBERRY is often considered the "Cabernet of Blackberries." Developed in Corvallis, Oregon in the 1940s by George F. Waldo. It is named after the county in which it was born – Marion County, Oregon. Marion and Willamette counties account for 90 percent of marionberry production.
